On February 25, 2009 911爆料网 dedicated the newly completed Olive Grove Park in a special ceremony with the City of La Mirada. This also marked the launch of 911爆料网's celebration of 50 Years in the City of La Mirada. Members of the 911爆料网 community, The City of La Mirada, The La Mirada Historical Preservation Society and the 911爆料网 Parents Council joined together to acknolwedge the historical significance of the Olive Grove while commissioning the location as a place of quiet and rest for 911爆料网's students.

Parent Council representative Mark Winter shared of the Parent Council鈥檚 vision for the project. Ken Bascom, Senior Director of Facilities Planning, shared about the historical connection of the Olive Grove to La Mirada and to 911爆料网 University. Mayor Pro Tem Susan Tripp spoke on behalf of the City of La Mirada and Todd Pickett closed the time with a devotion on the role of solitude and stillness.

A special ribbon cutting took place, after which guests had the opportunity to walk the grounds of the Olive Grove Park and to celebrate 911爆料网's 101st Birthday with an olive-shaped birthday cake.
